The SC Global Tennis for Every Child is a community programme created by SC Global & Singapore Tennis Association to widen interest and participation in tennis in primary schools. Tennis For Every Child serves as an outreach programme aimed at increasing the number of primary schools participating in tennis in order to provide more primary school children access to tennis through their school programmes and/or their after school CCA programmes.
Currently with 21 primary schools already registered on TFEC, the programme holds plans to continue expansion across the country over the next few years. Since 2015, TFEC has expanded its free weekly tennis lessons for youth communities to locations such as MINDS Towner Gardens, MINDS Lee Kong Chian Gardens School and Melrose Children’s Home.
TFEC has delivered tremendous results developing students’ confidence and skillsets both within and beyond the game.

SC Global Tennis For Every Child Tennis Carnival
Location: MOE Headquarters
Date: 13 September 2016
Presenting sponsor SC Global recently invited former world No.19 WTA Player Yayuk Basuki to conduct an engaging tennis clinic for 36 primary school students from the Tennis For Every Child programme. Held in collaboration with WTA, the clinic reflected the programmes spirit of being inspired by the very best, with the belief that anything is possible for these young budding players. Held at MOE (Evans) Sports Hall, the clinic was part of the SC Global Tennis for Every Child (TFEC) Inter-School Carnival, held in the run up to the 2016 BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global. The annual tennis carnival is open to all primary schools, and aims to grow the tennis talent pool by introducing new players to the competition format with a modified point scoring system, modified nets, lighter racquets and low compression balls. This year’s carnival saw some 90 students from 13 primary schools in Singapore compete in a friendly round-robin format. The competition saw gold medal winners from Telok Kurau Primary (Xiao Jia Wen), Yu Neng Primary (Isnuh Aqil) and Nanyang Primary (Caden Kong) in the respective red, orange and green ball categories. Students and Teachers from MINDS Towner Gardens were awarded the Tennis For Every Child School of the Year 2016 trophy for their commitment to the sport and the incredible development of the students throughout the year.
To complete their learning journey as they discover the fun of sportsmanship, students from the TFEC programme who participated in the carnival were also invited to watch their favourite tennis stars live in action at the 2016 BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global.
